Through The Glass Darkly

Misty Bokeh

Was on the way home from Zangrandi. If there's one thing that makes me appreciate living in Surabaya, it's the thought that I can always go to this well preserved place and have a slice taste of my childhood memory. Steamed Peanuts and Macedonia Ice Cream please! Hmmm, I might post some Zangrandi pictures later.

Have you read Jostein Gaarder's (in Indonesia) "Cecilia dan Malaikat Ariel"?

Not yet eric, but maybe not for long now that you've mentioned it.

I first encountered the phrase from Annie Lennox's song of the same title. Actually, the title of last few entries in this blog has been a direct copy of the title of songs on my iTunes :)

After your comment, I googled the phrase and found that the phrase is originally from 1 Corinthians 13 of King James Version:

For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

My bible is the NIV version and provides less poetic version. I might have to buy King James bible after all :)
